Can someone define  what "Number of unique logins" report is used for.

You want to know how many different Users have logged in instead of how many log-in actions were executed/performed. It merely shows a number, which I personally find empty of any useful information.  I'd prefer to know "Who" and perhaps how many times each person did.  But you have to remember that these canned reports are only intended to report minimal, and if any, useful information.

It's up to the Company to produce their own more detailed.  These provide some small blueprint (or perhaps very light gray print, almost indistinguishable from a blank sheet of paper) for writing your own.  

For example, "Status of all Workflows" produces a list of WF names, the owner, the ID and a link to a subWF.  The SubWF gives one line of the Step performer, Step name, Step Ready Date and a couple of other columns.  It doesn't say what status the WF is in (Archived, Executing, Suspended, Stopped, or "Completed, but not Archived"), but the code excludes Archived.  A "Completed" WF is done. It's not Active.  A "Stopped" WF can be not resumed, it's not Active.

"Number of Active Workflows" produces a number, that is of little use, since it doesn't distinguish between any status and the status makes a difference to me, and I would wager, others.
