Not able to edit Documents in LL 9.7.1

Hi,

I have recently installed LL 9.7.1 .

I am able to add, open documents but while editing I am facing issues.

While editing a word document I dont get an error on screen but it keeps on loading and while editing a text document I am getting an error.

Thanks Bhupinder for your response.

But, we have already done the steps mentioned in the KB article during the IIS installation. It seems the issue is with some java class(jar). Not sure, if I missed anything.

Any idea about this?

From my working with OT support and the product livelink one thinks that while OT is giving you the best advise some of the things are rather common sense.For e.g anybody who knows how java applets work know that they have to come to your browser for that you have tools like Fiddler which when you browse to a wf page or a text edit page or anything will show errors in red.You do what is required to rectify that situation.For e.g when configuring Livelink 10 which uses the applet,if you move to 10.5 they removed the applet I opened a ticket and was categorically rejected saying that they didn't know what was wrong with my install but I certainly could not wait for OT support to escalate and get it all fixed up .so I loaded the jar file in my web server and worked thru all the errors.Similar errors persisted for ActiveX etc as well finally all of it was done pretty much by my own research or shall we say we have this thing from heaven called "Google"

OT support for all the flak they receive are doing a tremendous job They have thousands of myriad offerings,people who wont even READ anything that is written,countless integrations and when they really help you you will be amazed at the brains they have ....

PS:I rarely do any SysAdmin work now but this was done a few months back and I left somethings useful for you to cross check.No warranties on my document as it is just form mostly OT documentation as well as Kyle Baley's stuff. I AM PRETTY SURE YOU CAN GOOGLE YOUR WAY OUT ON THIS
