ELS 10.2.1 Update 3 & AS 10.5 & OTDS 10.5 setup question

Hello everyone,

I have an issue about ELS 10.2.1. I need to install ELS 10.2.1 with update 3 on a seperate computer. I have already installed and configured OTDS 10.5 and AS 10.5. OTDS 10.5 is already integrated with CS 10 SP2 2014-09. for this reason ı have only one resource id. From ELS installation I've stuck when I check "use an existing OTDS installation"

I don't need to "install directory services" cause I have it already, and for sure that legacy authentication doesn't fit me.

Could you pls.help for this point.

Hi Emre,

I don’t understand what you mean by “I've stuck when I check "use an existing OTDS installation"”.

When installing RCS, one of the screens is

You choose the middle option and I think you should then be asked for connection details.

If this gives you an error messages I suggest you contact OpenText Customer Support.

Hello Andreas,

Thank you for your reply. I've done installation with choosen "use an existing directory services installation". RCS and all other ELS components installed succesfully with Tomcat7&Win2012 server. I've also added RCS and other patches.

I made a new resource which is called ELS in OTDS 10.5. After this, I can succesfully ELS default login from Administration Client with OTDS credentials, but I have a new "Error validating a ticket. OTDS client library error code: -11 [OTDS 0] Getting all object types failed!"

I am trying to configure xECM SP2 for these components and for now I am having trouble in ELS 10.2.2.

My OT components are; OTDS 10.5 - AS 10.5 - CS 10 sp2 2014-09 - SQL 2012 - ELS 10.2.2 Update 3 and finally xECM SP2

I will be really appreciated if you can give me any advice for this.

Did you configure the Content Server resource ID under Runtime and Core Services->Configuration->Content Web Services?

Please attach your OTDS system configuration report (Directory Services->Configuration Manager->View system configuration report) if that's not the issue.

This looks as if the OTDS integration is fine now.

Did you install the Extension for Enterprise Library module in Content Server?

This is required. You also need the modules Records Management and Archiving for Content Server.

They must be installed in the Operation System and then in Content Server Admin pages (Install Module…)

In future, when patching the Enterprise Library, you always need to patch the parts in Tomcat and the module in Content Server.

Hello Peter.

I've installed Extensions for Ent.Library module, RecMan and archiving for content server et before. CS is already compatible with xECM installation procedure, in CS I have an error when I want to open EL volume. I guess that this case might be about patching for Extensions for EL module. The screens are on attached.

These error messages indicate the Extensions for Enterprise Library 10.2.2 module isn’t correctly installed.

It looks like an old installation, that’s not valid anymore.

Please contact OpenText Customer Support to get this exceptional situation resolved.

I actually installed this module a few days ago. What do you mean about "old installation".? the version is 10.2.2. Anyway I hope OT Support will get this ticket and reply quickly.
