Table to fetch Document list

Hi,

i am new to opentext, i had installed the Unlicensed version of Opentext and exploring the features.

Can anyone help me in understanding how the content and meta data stores in Open text.

Is there any table which i can query to see the list of documents, folders etc.,

For anyone new to Content Server, I highly recommend getting a copy of the System Schema Reference which details all the database tables and their inter-relationships. To obtain a copy of the Content Server System Schema Reference Document which contains the Entity Relationship Diagram detailing how the various Livelink tables are connected to each other and also describes each table in detail, you will need to request a copy from your OpenText account manager; you will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) prior to it being shipped to you. There is no charge for the document. If you are not sure who your OpenText account manager is, please contact support@opentext.com to find out.

Hi Neeraja,

Although metadata on documents, folders, and other objects are stored in the Content Server database, curious minds should really be focusing on what APIs are available to obtain this metadata – not try to reverse engineer how things are stored in the database.

LAPI, which this forum represents, is an old API that has since been supplanted by Content Web Services and the REST API.

The Content Web Services area of OTDN is linked to from the main page.

The REST API is documented onhttp://developer.opentext.com.
