Creating documents with ADN number

I am tryinig to create a document with a Category that has ADN enabled but I am receiving this error message: Dispatched service DocumentManagement threw exception DocMan.NodeCreationError : Error adding version to 'My test doc'. A DAPI error has occurred. [E681639987]

I have supplied the correct attribute values that is needed to create the ADN number.

ADN is set to "Auto Generate Number". If I turn this off I am able to create the document but without the ADN number.

I am using Content Server 10.5

ADN is 10.5.2

I am using the .NET web services
