How to create a Request Handler?

Hi

We have a requirement as below:

User from a third party searches for a account number, when clicking on the search button a tab is enabled which redirects the user to livelink server page containing the folder for this account number.

I dont know how can i start creating a request handler. Need some help or guide to create request handlers.

I propose that you follow the CS developer course. There is explained in detail how to create your own request handlers.

What you are asking in my opinion can be achieved without writing one line of oscript to do that you would create a document that has a mime of HTML put it somewhere learn about the search(XML) API.The search that a user sees is oscript calling the search API. Outside web sites such as this one gives you a rudimentary idea

It is one of the few API's of livelink that has entirely good working examples which basically you are creating a stand alone html form doubleclicking it and sending parameters to the search api as livelink does.

All you require is a programmer who understands how to do XML/XSLT programming a bit of javasacript and or JQuery techniques in my opinion.

I remember doing this in 2006 for similar search project I had the example in here

I have another query like, the third party tool which is searching for the Account folder should be redirected to that page once he/she clicks on the serach button. We only have to provide them with the URL and they will hit the URL and get redirected to the correct folder after search.

Will this be possible to do?
