How to list all OTSubType in a Content Server using WebServices

Hi,

I would like to know the webservice/method to be used to list all the possible OTSubType available in the Content Server.

I am aware that OTSubType 0 refers to a Folder and OTSubType 144 refers to a Document. Similarly there will be different values for other items such as Channel, Task, Compound Document etc. Is it possible to list all the possible Node Type and the corresponding OTSubType for each of them using a WebService?

Livelink has a convenience feature called ?func=admin.sysreport this will give you that info for system administrators(even a lite)

Oscript creates the registry for a particular livelink install when it starts up that is how it knows how to provide the implementation.

The webservices from OT gives you important NodeTypes such as Enterprise,Personal,Categories etc .OT makes the webservices so that you can expose what you want by writing oScript

or if this is important you would ask OT thru a feature request.

here is a poorman's method select distinct(subtype) from dtree(dtreecore);

the LR is problematic because if a organization never used a particular node type say for e.g a 'Prospector' you will never find it in a query.

BTW lets assume you got a Node thru CWS,you can basically say what is its type.My guess is it may tell you the friendly name

Curiously enough a product form OT called Cases or something like that allows you to define the subtype as well.

In old lapi documentation it was there again as a convenience feature

I wonder how one could debug livelink  if Fiddler, Wireshark and Softerra LDAP browser was not invented and not free
