Send on workflow task by event script (CS10.5)

Hi,

is it possible to send on a wf task in a event script?

This event script will assigned to another task than the task to be sent on.

There is the method WAPI.TaskDone(WAPIWORK work), but I do not see a way to specify the taskID for the task I want to send on or how to get the WAPIWORK for another taskID.

Are you trying to "send on" a user task? If so, the question would be what the requirement is. If you were to apply an event scriopt to an item handler or process step with no other directives other than an event script that is run either when the step is done or when the step is ready, the step will be considered done once the event script is run. If you need to change routing based on what happens here, WF Event scripts are a good place to set WF attributes (although I admit that the API for setting them at least in 10.0 leaves something to be desired).

It is best to not use event scripts to change task or workflow status but rather allow the WF engine to manage that. If you can tell me what the specific requirement is, I can suggest other ways to implement it.

We have a task which allows a user to supervise a form (read only view on a form which is filled in by another user), there is no following task linked to this task.

The supervisor sees no buttons like send on etc, it's just a requirement that there is some user who can read what's in the form.

As soon as the form is filled and approved, we want to end this task (without needing this user to do something), otherwise the workflow will not end.

Either you need a button so the user can say he has read it or you make the supervisor a workflow manager, so he can query the workflows he manages and look at them later.

I just tried it and had problems due to the WF being in a locked state within the context of the event script. I'm guessing it's not possible, but perhaps you could defer it to run outside of the event script.

Actually my requirment is also same... Lke we Have many workflow assingments is our admin Queue. I am looking for a way to automate. Like any script or something to automatically send on the document is Admin Queue. You Comment on this and help is much appreciated
