Live Report for the data usage

Hi All,

We have CS 10 update 13 with Archive server 10.1. Currently we have the auto purge disabled for the recycle bin. So any data which is deleted is moved to recycle bin. We are not sure how much data does reside in the recyclebin. So is there any way to check this?

Also if you can help me to provide the way to check how much data is stored on the personal workspace of all the users.

Tons of these queries explained again reproduced as these are not unique problems Check what recycle bin subtype is if you look at the dataid you will get a subtype,now check the ownerid of recycle bin

From my system

select * from dtree where name like 'Recycle Bin' and subtype=3030; //usually only one isn a sytem and nobody renames it

select * from dtree where ownerid=-2105; //from the above query these are the stuff in recycle bin change for your ownerid

select sum(datasize) from dversdata where docid in (select dataid from dtree where ownerid=-2105 //dversdata.filesize is individaul file sizes Livelink uses Single Instancing on copies so you will eiether get more or less than DB calculation

Possible Caveat:Recycle bin I am not sure is different in brand new livelink system so run some sanity checks

Recycle Bin size (note – this is for Oracle; may need to adapt for SQL db)

select sum (dversdata.datasize/1024/1024)

"Recycle Bin in MB" from dversdata, dtree

where dtree.OwnerID = (select dtree.ownerid from dtree where dtree.subtype=3030)

and dtree.dataid = dversdata.docid

Personal Workspace size:

select sum(b.datasize)/1048576 "Personal Folder Size in MB" from kuaf,

dtree a, dversdata b where a.ownerid = -(kuaf.id) and a.parentid >= kuaf.id and a.dataid = b.docid

There are reports available where you can see which users have the largest Personal Workspace content as well….

You need to identify the RecycleBin Volume.

You can find this in a number of ways.

Oracle SQL: select dt.ownerid, dt.name from dtree dt where dt.name like 'Recycle%'

Then you can get a count of the Objects by Subtype with:

select rb.subtype, count(*)

from dtree rb

where rb.ownerid = <dt.ownerid from previous query>

Group by rb.subtype

Then modify the above with:

select rb.subtype, sum(dv.datasize), count(*)

from dtree rb

left outer join dversdata dv on rb.dataid = dv.docid and rb.versionnum = dv.version

where rb.ownerid = <dt.ownerid from previous query>

group by rb.subtype
