Debugging Weblingo

Hi,

According to the documentation "Content Server IDE Plug-in for Eclipse Quick Start Guide" (https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/llisapi.dll/Open/CSSDKDocs), it seems to be possible to debug weblingo files.
"When setting a breakpoint in a weblingo file, ensure that the breakpoint is set in your module's html folder in your Content Server intall directory, not in the copy that you may have in your source folder."
But how do I open this weblingo file and set breakpoints in it?

You should have two projects: "yourproject" and "yourproject_server" The "_server" one represents your content server instance. Inside it, it has a linked folder "yourproject_server/ide/othome" which is your server's OTHome directory in the Eclipse file system.

Find the html file in there and open it to set a breakpoint.

You can also use the Open Resource dialog (Ctrl-Shift-R). Open it up and start typing the name of your html file. You should see (at least) two: one from your server project and one from your source project. Pick the one whose path starts with "yourproject_server."

I have managed to get the server version of the Weblingo (html) file in the eclipse editor, but I cannot set any breakpoints. I right click in the margin of the file and choose Toggle Breakpoints, but nothing happens.
I use eclipse version Kepler and com.opentext.cside_10.5.4.235.jar.

Hi Peter,

It sounds like you are using the wrong editor. To check, in Eclipse go to Window > Preferences > General > Editors > File Associations. Select *.html and make sure the WebLingo Editor is set as the default & click OK. Then re-open your WebLingo file & set the breakpoint.

Thanks Tim,
Now I am able to set breakpoints in the Weblingo files
But the problem now is that the code will not stop at the breakpopints in the Weblingo files. (The breakpoints is set in the server version of the Weblingo files.) I have restarted the VM and eclipse several times but it did not help. If I set a breakpoint in an .os file, the code stop when I run, so I think there is still some problem with the Weblingo files.

For some reason, I am seeing the same behaviour, so I hope someone has an answer! Instead, you can insert the following line to create the breakpoint at the appropriate location in the WebLingo file:

;scheduler.debugbreak()

Try what I do

If you find that it is not breaking open the perspective called DEBUG sometimes the DEBUG will not kick in

You can verify the break here

Okay, thanks!
The only thing for the moment that force a break is what Tim recommended (";scheduler.debugbreak()").
I can see my breakpoints if I switch to the Debug perspective, so I think that are okay. But one thing that is a little bit strange, is that if right click on a breakpoint in the Debug perspective, the "Go to File" menu item is disabled. For breakpoints in .ol files this menu item is enabled.
(The breakpoints in the .ol files still works fine.)
