How to import exported categories in CS 10.5?

Hi All,

How can I import categories extracted in XML format from different CS source into my environment?

Appreicate if you could please provide steps/ reference to a guide. thanks for your help in advance!

Search the term "XML Export"  and "XML Import"

you cannot do this  if your idea is I have a QA system where I have perfected Version 29 of the Category .Now Prod is running Version 28 of the category can I just overlay just version 29 on to it? If Prod never had that object it will be evry easy to do it with XML Export /XML Import.On new LL's they have introduced this concept as the "Transport Workbench" so it appeals to say "SAP Customers" perhaps it may get you incrementals.

So that is where some of my categories I want is sitting in most companies it will be in the categories volume

So I can export that as a valid XML file and save that as "MycategoriesQA.xml".I double click the file and open in IE to rule out a corrupted XML file.

Now I can go to my target server and run this I would have copied the MycategoriesQA.xml to the target server's <OTHOME> so that I do not have to escape the paths etc .Import is not supported I think on a desktop file,not sure.
