When using the Content Server API's to add a document, is there a way to declare the create date?

If you mean CWS API then the createdate that you get there is the time the NodeWasAllocated and put.Elsewhere here and other places many learned people from OT has said that it is a sacred thing to them.Some older tools(LAPI,OI etc used to disobey the immutability but most likely they will all follow the same ground rules).I recently found the FastMan product advertising that they can change it as well. Since you used "declare" in your query that looks like you are in a Records Managed livelink so RM can key off a "Record Date" which is different from the "CreateDate".Most of us will actually put the legacy date of the object in a category attribute.
