Diagnostic Fails on 10 and 14 points

Hi all,

I have installed AS and EL on the same machine.

I'm trying to connect SAP xECM to EL. I created all logical ports as described in the installation guide but when I run diagnostic check on sap system, it fails on execution of enterprise library. It gives me Object does not exist error!

ot-elib.log does not contain any errors! Only this warning is logged:

Getting root folder 'EnterpriseWS' for user sap-user failed! Ignoring this error!

Nothing else!!

Any ideas?

Hi Irene,

please make sure you follow the instructions athttps://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll/Open/46555631 closely.

Especially chapterhttps://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/piroot/el/v100500-01/el-igd/en/html/partallinone.htm walks you through the complete setup of Enterprise Library incl. Content Server, OTDS and Archive Server.

Please do review the compatibility check in ot-elib.log file (https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/piroot/el/v100500-01/el-igd/en/html/trouble-patch2014-1.htm).

It tells you, whether Content Server was correctly contacted and got the correct update versions and module patches installed.

If the problems still don’t become obvious, please contact OpenText Customer Support.

Hi Andreas,

I followed also that guide.

Mine was an archive server upgrade from 10.1.1 to 10.5.

Before there were rcs but now there are only otds and enterprise library.

I noticed I have ELServices installed in both content server and AS (differente machine) but programs have different dimension. Is it normal? This is the only doubt I have...

On CS I supposed is installed enterprise library service for the module.

In AS are installed EL full services.

I configured logical ports to use AS ot-elib deployment and if I check the url, it gives me wsdl response.

Logical port in connection during diagnostic, correctly connect in content server te check EL Volumes and Types.

Here the user I used in SAP has full permissions so he can read category and elements information but it does not.

Even If I try to add enterprise library item type from spro, I can't see any category!

I read the guides more than one time to check where I was wrong during installation...

Even at least patches are installed!

I don't know what to check...

Any other idea?

If this is an upgrade, then you should have followed the upgrade chapter athttps://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/piroot/el/v100500-01/el-igd/en/html/upgrcomponents.htm.

If you got two /ot-elib installations in two different Tomcats, then there’s something wrong. You need just one, no matter whether installed in AS’ Tomcat or CS’ Tomcat.

I suggest you contact Open Text Customer Support to get this sorted.

I just follow this instructions to check the creation of an item in application:

Open a browser and enter http://<Tomcat host name>:<port>/elclient_10.5.0/elclient.jnlp
(here: http://localhost:8080/elclient_10.5.0/elclient.jnlp).

But I cant create an item with otdsadmin!

There are not permissions error, only

Creating element failed!

DocumentManagement.CreateNode() failed on the Livelink Server . No Results were returned. Check the LivelinkServer thread logs.

otadmin has full permissions rights in this volume.

Any ideas?

Now you need to enable Content Server thread and connect logs, repeat the operation and review the log files.

I solved the problem setting corresponding SAPUSER in CS as system admin.

Then all checks were green except Member Services.

I was implementing ecmlink in a customizing client.

Then customer told me to use another client with productive data for testing purpose so I replicated the configuration in this client and all lights were green.

I don't know because in one client MemberService gives me red light with the same logical port configuration than the other client...but now it works fine!
