Do Live Reports respect user permissions

When we create Live Reports and write SQL statements to fetch data directly from database tables, is there a way to have them respect permissions or is it somehow automatically being taken care of in the below two cases:

1. Fetching data based on cats/atts.

2. Fetching data from database table linked to Form.

If it is a Live Report and you have in you LR the % replacement “Filter Permissions” then it is being filtered for the caller

Your 2^nd question is very vague .The only thing livelink can base its decision is dtreeacl which means somehow dtree object ids are involved. If you put connect logs when you execute a LR with Filter Permissions on your query you should see the database equivalent. of the Filter Permissions.Unless OT has patched this in later versions one can know what 'Filter Permissions' by employing a trick.You would just make a working query and Livelink will provide its ouput,then deliberately make a mistake like mispell where to were or so,many times the parser will put what the sql it was trying to run. We employ other reporting things like "SpotFire" for glamorous reporting so we filter permissions uisng techniques like this.Note if you have 'SA' on your profile then none of your permission checks happen so it will report something like 1=1 in connect logs.

LR is pulling out the detail from FORM table and few LR the data is pulled out from categories and WF attribute table. how is it possible to achieve in this case? To show results to the users to which they have SEE permission. Currently, all the results are getting pulled out. I tired adding Filter Permission, but that still gives me the same result

The reason why it works is because "DTREE" is also being "aliased" in it?
