Search Using Document Management WSDL

Hi,

We are trying to perform a search based upon Document Management Webservices of the OpenText Content Server. Is there a way to get the NodeId using these services based upon a CustomMetadata Value in the Category of the document?

What happens if you use the livelink search to search for that are results returned ?
Oscript is calling the same search query when you call it from wsapi? Also enabling search logs on ll server is a good way to trouble shoot the two approaches you can also use the ?func=search   XML API  if wsapi does not work
