Passing values from popup window to custom form in CS

Hi Experts

I need your urgent help on one of the development scenario I am working on for one of the client.

I have created a custom form view in which values of some of the attributes has to be selected from popup window.So its like I have an attribute in custom form,I click on popup icon it calls a request handler which performs some operations and displays the list of values in popup.

I am able to do all this but the problem is when I select the value in popup , it is not passed to the attribute in parent form from pop window.I have used parent and child window concept of html (using window.opener) but its not working as its not direct child html popup ,it comes through a request handler.

Could anyone suggest how I can achieve this functionality.

Hard to say what is not working without seeing it. Have you tried following a TargetBrowse? If not familair with TB, an example is when you go to copy/move a document, click on Browse Livelink. That brings up a window that allows you to make a selection and that selection is passed back to the original form (the copy/move form).
