Documents with no category

Hi,

I need to pull out documents which do not have a category assigned to them.

For example, I have a parent folder and this parent has folders till n-th level, with documents in them. These documents con contain a category named "TestCategory". I need to pull all those documents which DO NOT contain this "TestCategory" assigned to them.

Please help.

Hi Goutham,

Try the attached SQL written for Oracle and CS10.5. Remove the comments and the semi-colon if you put it into a LiveReport. Replace the id numbers with the id of your parent folder and category.

The SQL uses the "connect by prior" to traverse the levels down from the parent folder. It uses the "minus" to first get the whole document set and then subtract out the documents that have the category, leaving you with the results of documents with no category.
