LAPI application is getting intermittment errors uploading and download.

Upload Document: 8 attempts 1 success , 7 Failed error : get(name) not implemented for this datatype

Fetch Document: 5 attempts 1 Successful, 4 Failed error : get(name) not implemented for this datatype

Application run "ok" with no errors before database crash and webserver crash.

Any idea??

If you wrote the application yourself you will want to ascertain these conditions all the time shown is pseudo code.
Get(Nodeid=12345) //Success return value 0,if Error print error or look if server is actualy telling you in the stack trace.
If there is a line that immediately follow this like "The Node’s Value is + dataid.toString()" you will get this get(name) not implemented for this datatype because at that point when something bad happened the Output variable does not have the iterator key for the collection
Usually other times inexperienced livelink business rule developers will do certain things like FetchVersion in a "Folder Object" which is a NO NO in livelink.
If you put debug=2,wantlogs=true,wantlapilogs=true in your servers opentext.ini and re-start you will see the return values before the getname errors are thrown.
If this is a vended application you should ask the vendor and if you have not been paying attention you need to get away from lapi before long.

problem is we don't see the get(name) in the livelink logs. it's only in the lapi application logs. We see all successful transactions in the livelink logs with

debug=2,wantlogs=true,wantlapilogs=true

then in your outArgs look for what the server sent you? do you think it could be parsed by the client application? can the forum see your thread logs and where the code that throws the get(name) happens.In any case LAPI has very feeble support now

so you might convert this into something that OT will support.
