LiveReport to find all folders and documents attached to a particular RM Classification

Hi,

Is it possible to create a LiveReport to select a RM Classification and then it show all the folders and documents attached to it?

Where there is a table, there is a way.

There are all sorts of RM tables. I haven't ever looked into the RM pieces, but if there's a DATAID, it's reportable. If you have a DB tool (SQL Developer for Oracle or SQL Server Studio for MS), you can examine the RM tables for these fields/values and figure out the report. You may have to go through a couple of tables to get what you want, but it's more than likely reportable.

OT has given you some management reporting with the product.If you are a RM person and is allowed you will find this under Enterprise->RM->Reports

The relation as Colin says is very simple.All Objects you interact within LL is in DTREE(a view nowadays,but that is not relevant).Its dataid becomes RM_MULTICLASS with key NODEID.The Classid is the classification you want.You have to just sign an NDA and they will give you schema document for free...one of the only things you get free.

So for a folder object with ID =136980484

select dt.name,dt.dataid,rmc.classid "Classificationid" ,RMC.RSI"File Number" from dtree dt ,rm_multiclass rmc where dt.dataid= rmc.nodeid and dt.dataid=136980484;

Now if you don't like the ID but want the friendly name one can create another join like this

select dt.subtype "object type",dt.name,dt.dataid,rmc.classid "Classificationid" ,dtrm.name "clssification friendly name",RMC.RSI"File Number" from dtree dt ,

rm_multiclass rmc ,dtree dtrm where dt.dataid= rmc.nodeid and

DTRM.DATAID=RMC.CLASSID

and dt.dataid=136980484;

Now all you need is a recursive loop.If you are on Oracle Oracle has a connect by.SQLserver you have to write a CTE. However here's a version that may work with

dtreeancestors so should not matter if you are oracle or sql

select dt.parentid, dt.subtype "object type",dt.name,dt.dataid,rmc.classid "Classificationid" ,dtrm.name "clssification friendly name",

RMC.RSI"File Number" from dtree dt ,

rm_multiclass rmc ,dtree dtrm where dt.dataid= rmc.nodeid and

DTRM.DATAID=RMC.CLASSID

and dt.dataid in (select dataid from dtreeancestors where ancestorid=136980484) order by dt.parentid;

Hopefully you know how to put this in a LR if not tell me what version of livelink and db version I will put a LR that you can import.
