Custom Type - ActiveView not triggered on a new "folder" type

Hello,

I've created a new item type derived from DocNode -> Folder. 

My issue is that the ActiveView Browse Folder override isn't being triggered when I browse to my new "folder". 

I assigned an ActiveView to the parent folder and have the view cascading.

Can anyone point me into the correct direction for successfully creating a new "folder" item and allowing ActiveViews from applying?

The ActiveView overrides were not designed to automatically pickup new container types - in fact we have specifically had problems in the past where new container types were picking up ActiveView modifications.  In versions of ActiveView prior to CS16 we have had to explicitly create objects and code for each type of container we override as there were a variety of inconsistencies with different containers, i.e. we had to create unique functionality for each one.  That is changing as most containers are adopting standard functions and approaches so in future releases we will be able to genericize the ActiveView behavior so that virtually any container could apply an override.

In the meantime perhaps you can email me at gpetti@opentext.com and I can give you some basic steps to extend the current architecture. This is with the caveat that you may have to adapt your code in future (post CS16 releases).
