ELS 10.5.0 - Needs both Archive server (content) and CS (metadata)

Hi folks,

We are exploring ELS and have few queries.

1) Can ELS connect with Archive Server without Content Server.

2) Can we use ELS to store Content in Content server without Archive Server.

3) Is there CMIS available directly on Content Server or we need ELS for CMIS capability.

Hi Rinita,

 

#1: no, ELS is always backed by CS

#2: yes, but certain functionality isn’t available when running without Archive Server (see docu and Release Notes)

#3: no, you need ELS to have CMIS for Content Server

#4: there is Archive Center, which got a CMIS interface for Archive Server, without Content Server and without ELS
