Hi,
We need to export outlook emails out of CS10. Has anyone done this if so what tool did you use? Has anyone used web services for this?
Thanks
Jaz
How many emails are we talking about here?
I am with OT Global Services and have built an extension to Object Exporter/Object Importer to allow for exporting emails and importing them to a different system.
If interested, contact your services representative and we can discuss this further.

Hello,
I have also questions about the export of Emails out of CS10.5.
Scenario: About 20 million Emails to be exported to an external storage (i.e. harddisks) in format MSG (with included attachements).
Questions:
1) Does the mentioned extension for the object exloprer help to do this? What is the price model / costs?
2) Does the Web Services and Java have functionalities to get the information of one email with included attachement (in any format)?
Thanks, Daniel
The module I wrote a while ago, will export the emails to a standard output folder (just like if you did an export of documents), and will also generate an xml file that will be used for importing to another Content Server system (FYI: I am part of OpenText Global Services). That being said, there is another, however, more maintained module in terms of OpenText, that sounds like it will fit your needs. Please contact your sales rep for more details about what can and cannot be done. Ask about the module that Jürgen Firnstein has developed. I am 100% sure this module is what you would need moving forward.

thanks for your reply. Sorry to ask again. I am familiar with the CWS on basis of Java. So, I am not familiar with OScript.
What is the code base of OE (Object Explorer)?
Is it possible to export a single email (with all its attachment) via CWS and Java?
Alternative: Is it possible to generate Collection of a Mailbox via CWS?
Thanks, best regards,
Daniel
