CSIDE changes doesn't get saved

Changes are lost after restarting Eclipse.

When I made some oscript changes and lock Ospace, changes are visible until i restart Eclipse.

After i restart eclipse, there are is no code which I made, but when i unlock Ospace, my code is present. It seems like my code doesn't get compiled.

But for some functions it works as expected:
1.unlock ospace > 2. change code > 3. lock ospace > 4. restart Eclipse > 5. changes are visible.

Environment is:
1. Content Server 10.5 Update 2016-03 (version 10.5.0.2006)
2. Eclipse Luna
3. com.opentext.cside_10.5.7.478.jar
4. JRE 1.8.0.91 (x86)

Sounds like you are making your code changes in the ospace files that you see under the "Module Explorer" tab. You need to import your ospace to generate the os files in your eClipse Workspace; then make changes to the os files under the "OSpace" tab in eClipse.

I don't think there is a need to unlock/lock ospace files in eClipse when you make the code changes under the OSpace/Workspace tab.

OK i imported module into my workspace, and changes are now saved - but they are not executed.

I have added simple debug line to see if it works, but it does not write log.

Hi Zlatko,

Have you tried putting a breakpoint on in your code?

From your attachment, this looks like you are modifying the core xmlwfextensions module. Is that correct? If so, i would suggest that you not modify that code directly - it is certainly best to not modify core code if you can avoid it; however, even if you need to override some of the core code, you should do so in a custom ospace. It will save you a lot of heartache later, if OT issues a patch to the code or upgrades the module.

If this is core code that you are modifying and you are not seeing your code change, then it is possible that OT has issued a patch for this code. When the CS server starts up, patches are the last bits of code to load and it would supercede your modification. Have a look at the code in the Module Explorer tab -- do you see your change there?

Hi Donna,

We do have need to override XMLWFExtensions, and we have applied patches for this module, so you are right about that.

I did manage to save changes and execute them by changing XMLWFEXTENSIONS module in SRCMODULES (see printScreen) and debuger hits breakpoint- i am not sure what caused this progress, but I am happy with this.

Next situation is that i created my custom ospace in custom module (wfemailcomment ) - in order to override this metod GetTaskByID - installed my new module - but this code is not executing, and breakpoint does not hit. Actually, breakpoint hits in XMLWFEXTENSIONS from SRCMODULES. (see printScreen)
