How to remove default access permissions from a Folder/Document

Hi All,

We have a requirement wherein we need to change our permissions model.

By Default, each doc and folder has following permissions with it under Default Access Section :

Owner
Group (Default Group)
PublicAccess

I want to remove these default permissions for all the docs and folders and also make sure that new folders and docs don't have them either. How can I achieve this functionality ?

What will be the best approach to do it ?, Is it possible that I can remove the Default Access Section completely for all the docs and folders.Ours is a group based permission model so these permissions don't really make any sense.

I am working on livelink 9.7,1 and 10.5. Please guide

For 10.5 you can do it as follows:

 

Go to the top folder. In the left column there is an icon where you can do permissions actions on sub items. Click on it and define the actions you want to do. One of the actions is to remove the 3 standard permissions. On the admin page you can configure who is allowed to bring these permissions back again.

 

9.7.1 is too long ago for me to remember what is there possible. Removal of the rights is not possible , but you should be able to reduce the rights to NONE.
