Hi All,

I'm trying to replicate the download sample using the java webservice for the first time.

When I compile the java code I get an error on the class com.opentext.ecm.api.OTAuthentication

Browsing on the forum I have found a reference on a cws.jar which should have it but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Can someone point me out on where to find this jar so to include it in my project?

You need to generate the cws.jar and put it in your app.
I cannot help eny more because I could not find the document where the instructios are, plese try to find it in the knowledge web site.

Be aware that you need to generate a cws.jar file for each environment (dev, prd, etc.) you are using.

Yes, that class and all other classes that represent the ECM services are in the cws.jar file.

I think cws.jar is a friendly jar file that you compile out of the Authentication,DocumentManagement,ContentService WSDL’s

The mechanism is these downloaded class files are what makes the magic .I do this all the time to source my WSDL’s and in my case

I have the WSDL’s deployed in IIS.The OT documentation is showing the WSDL’s deployed in a TC server. Clients just need a

Here’s the step that creates the cws.jar

Use the jar command to bundle the generated class files into a .jar file. Enter the following command:

jar cvfM cws.jar com/opentext*

I believe this is the link that Felipe was referring to. It’s the Getting Started guide for Java:

This should walk you through what you need to do to compile your client proxies into the cws.jar file and a little sample app you can use to test if it’s working.
