Lock Versions in Smart View

Hi,

Does anyone know how you set up the ability to lock a document version via Content Server 16 Smart View like in Classic View. Currently we only have the options to view properties, Download or Delete versions (Image attached)

Hello Michelle, 

currently we deliberately decided to not support this functionality in standard Smart UI. There will be a similar functionality (Generations) deployed with EP2. As I am not aware of plans to support explicit version locking in near future, please send a feature request to support, if you want to vote for this option.

In order to provide Version locks for SmartUI, you have to have two parts, client and server. The server part means to have a REST API call which supports locks on versions. Currently there is no such functionality available with the REST API. So you would have to implemement a REST call like that. Second you have to provide the version locking as extension command clientside. You find in the samples, how extension commands are written (in samples/commands, see also the samples-index.html, first section).
