Content Server & Peoplesoft Integration

Hi there, I was just wondering if anybody has integrated Content Server with Peoplesoft?  We have a client that would like to be able to access documents stored within Content Server through the Peoplesoft screens (ie: invasive integration).

I can give you some ideas but not about PeopleSoft and your description matches consuming something in livelink (a.k a Content Server)

• SAP Netweaver has the concept of a URL IView which is calling a URL in a portal location so if you put http://livelinkserver/livelinkvd/livelink.exe in such a URL Iview and if the SAP user and LL user is the same in AD so that SSO can happen then the SAP user will see a Livelink Object(Folder,Document) etc in that .Most people struggle getting the user info to work across two systems but OT has a middleware called OTDS that manages this for you.
  
• SOAP Consumption-This link is how programmatic access to livelink is done from systems https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/llisapi.dll?func=ll&objId=62345549&objAction=browse&viewType=1 the only real effort is the WSDL's need to be exposed.In both TomCat and IIS it is less than 30 mins of a LL Admin's job.He makes the WSAPI talk to a livelink server.If you have SOAPUI then you can get productive very easily.Again this would be predicated by the fact that will Peopl Soft know to call a SOAP end point.I would be very surprised if it does not .If your org has a LLserver deployed on IIS then all it takes is create an application in that same webserver to the SOAP end point to become active.
• On very new LL systems 10,10.5,16  and some some versions up  OT has a REST API. REST API authentication is severely restricted to avoid CORS and spoofing so it takes bit to get going on that ,but the way to see if REST is working is by running this URL http://livelinkserver/livelinkvd/cs.exe/app/nodes/2000  the 2000 is the enterprise workspace for most customer systems but if you look at your EWS its properties you can find it.(also under Admin Pages > Server Configuration > Configure Presentations > Configure Container Options there is a  'Enable Smart View Link') .The first thing you may end up doing is before doing anything REST you want to get a token that is different from the SOAP token/cookie.Since REST can be invoked form any javascript page if it relies on a livelink token then it could be spoofed,hence the design restriction to pass a authentic token from a system known to livelink ,that is what I think is happening.Its details are given to you in https://developer.opentext.com/webaccess most of the starting developers use POSTman to do tests even though SOAPUI also may have similar easy to use tools.My gut feel reading through programming forums is OT is saying to the community that they will support REST for many more years.Many people mix and match REST/SOAP tokens as well..Regardless livelink will never show you  a page until authentication happens and is happy about it
