[EXTERNAL] - CS 16.2 Perspective Manager not saving changes in Perspective

Hi All,

I have just upgraded to CS16.2 and was trying to use the new Widgets that come with it, but for some reason, I am unable to validate any change I do in my perspective.

What I mean is that even if the UI says that it has updated the perspective the changes are not committed and so the widget's configuration is not retained.

Has anyone else this issue?

Hi Igor,

It's probably best to log a support ticket to see if this issue can be reproduced. There are no known issues I'm aware of that sound like the problem you're seeing.

Are you creating a new perspective, or updating an existing one? If there are multiple perspectives applied to the same node/landing page, you'll need to check the Perspectives properties tab of the node (or the ?func=activeview.ManagePerspectives admin page) to make sure that new/updated perspective has the correct priority/ordering so that it is used.

I was on site in the last days and did not have the chance to Reply.

Anyway, to answer your questions, I can't open a ticket because I'm playing around with the Perspective manager so if I can't add the ticket to a customer OT support won't open it.

As for Jordan's questions, this happens with new or existing landing pages, that is every time I edit it I need to reconfigure it from scratch as it loses all the previous settings. Now from your answers I believe that this doesn't happen to you, so probably it's a local issue...

I actually ran into this yesterday as I started to play around with perspectives. I just thought there was a step I was missing and planned on doing some more reading on it this morning.

I created a new perspective for a business workspace, added additional tabs and widgets. Click update, go to look at it and nothing changed. If I left and reopened the perspective in the designer, I got a message saying I still had a previous edit in the cache, discard or continue. I can open a ticket later today on this since it appears to be a bug.
