javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException Could not update physical item

Hi Everyone,

I am using Content WebServices 10.5 and i am trying to update metadata using Docman.updateNode(Node node). But it is throwing javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Could not update physical item. I have checked the category, permissions for the folder where I am updating the file but no luck.

Kindly help me out here. Thanks in advance.

Hi Shivam,

Though I have not dealt with physical objects, in CWS, it may be that they have some specific parameters or requirements, before they can be updated. Ex: AttributeGroups of some sort.

I would suggest you bring a copy down of a physical object, and analyze the node and associated metadata, try to see what it takes to add a new version.
