Restore Node from Recycle Bin via Webservice (Node that was deleted)

Hello,

when I delete a file via Webservice-Method DocumentManagement.deleteNode(...) it is moved to Recyle Bin. How do I restore such a file from Recycle Bin via Webservice?

If there is no such an Option for restoring, is it possible to set a File to Display=Hidden and Display=List via Webservice?

I would think SOAP has it

 <soapenv:Body>

      <urn1:CreateNode>

         <!--Optional:-->

         <urn1:node>

            <urn1:Catalog>?</urn1:Catalog>   //change that to0-list,1-feature,2-hidden

            <urn1:Comment>?</urn1:Comment>

BTW did not test this myself.

AFAIK  the hidden,list,or featured is a gui help aid and it really has no functionality beyond that so even if you hid that in the recycle bin based on what its permissions bit say (and configuration) a person who book marked the link could possibly get it.If that link has a Move option then I am betting it can be restored using CWS.There are ways to find all objects in the old recycle bin clue is recycle bin is a object with a particular subtype so if you find its ownerid all children will have the ownerid saying the same. I also write thinking you have access to research these with a db tool or live report.The old recycle bin implementation kept track of where the node was before it was deleted .This also can be found out with some research.

 

One other thing is RecyleBin has been revamped in very new versions of livelink where if you delete an item and flag is flipped,when people click browse the dtree and webnodes view has been made smarter not to report the node so do check the release notes and version of the recycle bin running in your organization
