Clear example of how SQLList input type in livereport can be used

Greetings Experts,

Can you show me a good example how to i make use of SQLList input type in livereport?

Reading from description of help material i found on KC doesnt seems sufficient, please help.

I'm hoping that with SQLList i can get a dropdown list from my livereport allow user to select as criteria to filter livereport result.

Hi,

The SQLList parameter type doesn't implement a drop down list UI component. It just uses a text field that accepts a comma separated list of values which it turns into an in list to use in a SQL statement.

For example, if you have the following query:

SELECT *
FROM DTree
WHERE ParentID = 2000
AND SubType IN %1

If the %1 parameter is of SQLList type you can type 0,144 into the prompt and it will build the following query:

SELECT * FROM DTree 
WHERE ParentID = 2000 
AND SubType IN ( 0,144 )

There aren't currently any plans to implement pre-populated drop downs for LiveReports. If you have WebReports you can do this using the custom parameter type.
