IS&P Classification is a required field.

Hi there,

When I tried to upload a file into a folder using ContentService uploadContent web service API, I got this error:

Upload Failed Dispatched service DocumentManagement threw exception DocMan.NodeCreationError : IS&P Classification is a required field.

What does this error mean? Is it because I don't have permission to upload file into that folder?

I can't say I know what an IS&P classification is, but it's likely you have configured a node attribute, category or similar that is required in this location.

Make sure that the metadata object you pass along with your UploadContent contains the requisite information to fulfill this requirement. If you have existing items in this folder, perhaps do a GetNode() on one of them, and check out what metadata you have.

Hi Mike, I'd suggest that perhaps you do a drag-and-drop into this folder, or add an item in the WebUI via the "Add Item" button, and see what it prompts you to fill-out.

Or, if it doesn't fill anything out, take a look through the Function Menu > Properties Tabs and see if there is anything being inherited for classifications, categories, etc.
