DFacetCache growing exponentially

Hi,

Could someone educate me on the DFacetCache table? On our DEV environment we see that this table is growing exponentially with the amount of Workspaces created. Currently it's over 50 GB in size with almost 19 million records, while we only have 15.000 workspaces.

Is it safe to remove records from this table to clean it up? We see that they are all very recently created, the earliest record was created around 2 weeks ago, when we started creating a batch of workspaces.

The facetcache is used to store the values of the facet in the sidebar for a given container. It will be maintained over time, obviously as more containers are created then it will expand. To remove the records will be a temporary measure since the system will recreate them.

We're purging the table so the facets will be recalculated. There were some older facets configured that we missed. Thanks for the explanation!
