Search API utf8 encoding for xml format possible?

Hi,

currently I try to integrate search results in our intranet via the search API of CS 16.2.1. Unfortunately I get a xml parsing error and I assume that it occurs because of the missing utf8 encoding in the output xml. I saw that the former search which was integrated in the intranet (via CS/cs.exe?func=search) was utf8 formatted.

Is there a possibility to add a parameter to the search URL for the api which could add this formatting?
Is there in general an overview/documentation which parameters are possible in general for the search api (via api/v2/search)

Hi Shawn,

thanks for your reply. But why is there the functionality to transform the response to xml via the parameter "...&format=xml" ?
I just thought that when there is the possibility to get xml that there is also any other parameter to influence the result somehow.

And could you give me a short explanation where I can find the api reference for "api/v2/search" at developer.opentext.com?

Hi Shawn,

thanks for your response. Actually I think that my error could be solved by the update to CS 16.2.3. Currently our system is on 16.2.1.
I found the following fix in the ChangeLog of 16.2.3:

LPAD-55778: REST Services output with query option format=xml does not encode special characters correctly

Sounds very similiar to my problem. I will try it again after we have installed 16.2.3
