Smart UI General widget for "My workspace"

Hi All,

While creating a new perspective, can any one let me know,

which widget is used to get the "My workspace" for each user based on their login .

The General Landing Page has this widget but not able to determine the exact widget which has been used

Hi Anusha,

If you mean the link to the user's personal workspace, this is done by the Shortcut widget under "Content Server UI Widgets". Setting the Volume Fallback to Personal should load the user's Personal Workspace link.

Thank you Ian , that was exactly what i was looking for, earlier had tried providing the target object allong with the fall back as "personal" hence it was not working as needed.

One more question , Is there a way to change or decrease the size of the widgets.

Hi,

It's not possible to reduce the size of a widget to smaller than one tile.

In recent releases there is an additional widget called Shortcuts which allows multiple shortcuts to be added to a single tile. I'm not 100% sure but I think this might have been added in the initial release of 16.2.

The "Shortcut" widget points to just one object. The "Shortcuts" widget can point to 1-4 objects at the same space (small tile). The "Shortcuts" has been released with CS 16.2.2.

Yes the "Shortcuts" widget was introduced in 16.2.2+ - Can the "Shortcuts" widget support a link to the user's own personal workspace, and if it does how can this be achieved?
