Upload the Large File using CWS

Hi Every one,

I am trying to upload the 3 MB file. But unable to upload to CS. I am getting the below error message.

The remote server returned an unexpected response: (400) Bad Request

But I am able to upload the file 98 KB file. I tried to change the settimgs in Web.config file. But no luck. Could any one help me on this?

Appreciate for your kind help on this?

Note: I am using C#.NET Code for this

A 400 Bad request is a web server error as such wont help you in debugging if you really want to get to the bottom of it you should basically employ livelink logging

It needs to be on the server where your WSAPI is making contact. If you can establish files less than what this Kyle Swidrowich article is explaining

BTW if you did change the Web.Config in your C# file Update the WSDL location in all likely hood what you made changes should reflect in the app.Config if it is a console app.

if you search MSDN you should be able to find code that forces the revised parameters as well.

This issue can be resolved by following these steps.

1. edit the web.config file located in: <content server app dir>\webservices\dotnet\cws\

do this for each server you plan to use for connection by clients

2. in the web.config, add the maxRequestLength="2097151" parameter, see below for excerpt

3. restart IIS on each server you changed, or reboot the server

There could be other parameters you need to adjust on the server or client, so if this does not work post back details of your steps, test condition, and error.
