Fatal exception when setting breakpoint in CORE ospace

Hi,

Environment is Content Server 16.2.0 using latest CSIDE jar 16.2.4.184 - I also got this on jar 16.2.3.107.

I set a breakpoint in the Modules tab for $LLIAPI.AttrObjects.AttrData.DbPut(). When I try to hit that breakpoint, I keep getting error dialogs saying "Problem encountered while deleting file". If I try to click the OK button, another dialog pops up with the same message. Sometimes I can get a few steps into my trace but mostly CSIDE and Eclipse just hang after several attempts to clear the dialog. Here's a screenshot.

WHenever I resume CSIDE, I will see the function I was trying to edit with an error. Notice the Ospace # and notice in the bottom of the following screenshot, I have the right number. If I close that window and come back, the error goes away.

Can anyone give me a clue as to what the heck is going on?!?!? This is truly maddening!

I have the stack trace from Eclipse but I have no way of pasting it into the discussion - I keep getting error messages from this HTML widget. How does one attach a file as a link instead of cutting and pasting?

UPDATE: I fixed the problem by reverting to an older CSIDE JAR. Using jar 16.2.0.1421 I am able to step through core functions. With the 16.2.3 and 16.2.4 releases I cannot and get Eclipse exceptions. I tested this on three different instances. One that was CS16.2.0 and two that were CS16.2.3.

So, CS 16.2.0.1421 OK, CS 16.2.3.107 and 16.2.4.x NOT OK.

Hi Hugh,

the stack trace (or even the complete Eclipse log) would be very helpful to understand this problem.

You can attach files when you open this topic in KC, the generated emails have a link to do that. Or click here, then reply to the topic, it opens a two page wizard to create an reply, on the second page one can add attachments.(I have never done that myself, so I will try it on the next page to verify that it works, indeed).

This is the error I get when I try to cut and paste my trace file into the forum. As you can see, I have no trouble uploading images. I tried using the same wizard to upload the stack trace but it gave me an error saying only images could be uploaded. If anyone at OT is interested, I can email what I have for a stack trace from CSIDE.
