CSIDE Inspector and Register windows

I noticed that fairly recent builds of the CSIDE dropin have the Inspector and Registers windows.  My question is how to make use of them.

From its name, the Inspector window is likely something like the Immediate window in Visual Studio, except I can find no way to get it to do anything at all.  You cannot type in it, double click it, drag a variable into it, or any other method I've tried to get it to react.  It appears to be completely non functional and read-only.

The registers windows shows aspects of the OScript VM, but I have yet to see anything useful in there. Any tips?

Hi Eric,

the inspector window shows name and value of the currently selected OScript element, either in OScript Explorer or Module Explorer. For example expand Modules / (core) / KERNEL / KernelRoot in Module Explorer and select for example OSName. The inspector window shows the value:

Or a bit more complex example, click on Globals to see something like this:

The inspector window follows the current selection in OScript Explorer and Module Explorer. You can also right click on OScript Elements, the popup menu has an entry "Inspect" which actually opens the Inspector Window (if not open yet) and shows the selected element.

The register window shows OScript VM registers during debugging. for .. in .. loops are an example to get some values into it. Try some code like this:

When you debug into into the for loop the registers window shows you something like this:

Register 1 is the current loop iteration, Register 2 is the length of the names list, Register 3 the names list itself. 

The Livelink Builder used to show this information in the upper right corner of the debug window.
