Can I apply ADN on folders without using webReport?

Yes.A D N is a particular kind of Attribute available in Category,Form and WF subsystems. For a A D N attribute to work  the node subtype should be supported. Usually subtype 144 the document subtype is pre configured.

No one usually created automatically named folders but by extending its configuration you can do what you want.It will not require development but just configuration.Please read the A D N manual thoroughly.

In the ADN ID config you also get override considerations,for e.g if one were using Compound Documents as the container with a A D N renaming,but did not want internal documents inside the container to get auto numbers

one could use that. If your system is a very old system like 9.71/10 then opentext.ini entries would be entered into KINI so if things don't work like in the documentation then seek out help.In most cases OT will actually blank out the

correct row in KINI and then ask you to follow documentation.Newer module gets its config info from the GUI.
