Hosting Smart UI SDK external to CS

Is it really required to have Node.js server to host SmartTU SDK externally ?

Since it is a set of pure javascript libraries and csss files, I tried to host under Process suite application server and it  worked for folder browser widget.

Just wanted to check, whether the libraries are expected to work on any application server?

We clarified the Smart UI SDK development off-line in the meanwhile.

• Smart UI is technically a set of JS and CSS files, which is loaded to and run purely in the browser.
• CS Smart UI SDK is not supposed to be hosted in other portals, like ProcessSuite. CS Smart UI is supposed to be integrated vya script ands stylesheet URLs originated on CS. There is a JS API to place Smart UI components (usually widgets) on the intagration page.
• Node.js is used to build Smart UI extensions, because the build tools are written in JavaScript. That is why the development web server, which loads the Smart UI core and extension sources and allows the application debugging and testing, is usually run in Node.js too, to reduce the abount of needed development tools.
