we have installed Opentext content server 16.2 version with OTCS & OTDS . 

 

Resolution required ;- 

 

1- we do have by default repository

-Classification

-Content Server Categories

-Enterprise

-Admin Home   

if we want custom repository so that we can distinguish that application x data to be stored in xrepository & application b to be stored in brepository and user can access their assigned repository withouting having to other repo

Several years back OT's Flagship Livelink had a "Domains" offering which has no relation to "Domains" as we know it but the login screen would be userid,password and an optional Domain.

Internally the code would handle,users,permissions,content all logically separate but  could offer collaboration opportunities.Since there was not much appetite among the general public

I think OT retired it but you can see remnants of it all in code. Is your idea of a repository something like this?

In its current offering OT LL does not care where you store categories,but classification is inside a single volume,Admin Home and Enterprise are one per LL system

If you create a Folder called Xrepository and created a rule to store all content in a dedicated storage provider and likewise the next and so on would it address what you want?

Those things are all OOB just need some of your time to experiment.

If the application is really something like SAP,SP,SalesForce all of these have tie ins to livelink called the Enterprise Library Services(xECM) offering

You can buy xECM or just build the application layer yourself.
