We may be upgrading from LL 9.7.1 to CS 16.5. I want to know if we can run the LiveReport DB queries from our LL 9.7.1 installation in a new CS 16 upgrade. That would mean there is backwards compatibility in the database schema. Is this correct?
For the most part, we have tried to preserve general schema models where possible to reduce the impact on reports.
However, it really depends on what your report was trying to accomplish, how many assumptions were made during the authoring of the report w.r.t. data, and how the data are stored within the schema. Recycle Bin, for example, was completely remodeled and existing reports against Recycle Bin objects likely won’t return the data you expect.
