[Livereport] Tried to have a Summary report with 2 (optional) subreport parameter passed to subrepor

Hi Guys,

In my ParentReport I'm trying to have more than one subreport parameter(e.g. 2) pass to my subreport. It works well if both my subreport parameter contains value, but it will fail(Subreport will show no records) if any of my subreport parameter are empty. The URL shown as below:

My subreport will workwell if i open it directly and insert only one field or leave any field blank.

Any idea what could went wrong?

Hi Christopher,

The first inputlabel seems to have bubbled up an unhandled exception, likely because there would be no handling pertaining to an undefined inputlabel, I'd think.

I would suggest that perhaps you create a couple of variables prior to executing your SubWR, provide them an acceptable "default" value, so, if nothing will set them later, at least you wouldn't pass it a string that cannot be parsed.

[LL_REPTAG_'12345' SETVAR:Input1 /]

Should set "12345" in a variable, called Input1, that you can then invoke for its current value, as: [LL_REPTAG_!Input1 /]

If it was just an empty string, there would be other things you could do.

So, using variables for both inputs, if you provide them a starting value, would guarantee that at least something readable would make it to your LiveReport.

You could, instead, also use a WebReport_IF statement to check the variables/inputs, instead, and do something on them before you run the SubWR.
