Poor ActiveView Performance

Hi

We have created some ActiveViews and applied them to a Virtual Folder and the Virtual Folder itself will load in about a second but when ActiveView is applied to it then it takes about a minute to load the page.

Has anyone run into a similar issue?

Hi Kevin,

 

Is this an in-house built AV, or did you just apply the canned template and discovered this performance hit?  Number of objects in the container is also going to affect the row section processing so that could be a factor, especially if it’s a custom AV… might want to do a quick test on one with only a handful of items and compare, or if it is a custom AV try just using the canned template.  Depending on your results it may be worth a support ticket to help investigate if this is behaving as it should be.  It is certainly within the realm of possibility that it is with the given set of data/reportview, but definitely worth a closer look.
