Identify user source

I'm searching for a way to identify the user source wether he is an active directory user or added manually in opentext.

Doesn't matter the way , Database query (Live report), Rest or Soap service, I just want to get to the information programatically.

Any help ?

Hi Mohammed,

Are you using OTDS, too?

I would think that there may be an extant property in each group/user that may give you an origin, to show you that they came from an OU in AD, or if they were manually created.

Do a GET on OTDS_HOST:8002/ot-authws/v1/group with an otdsticket in the header, previously retrieved by a POST against OTDS_HOST:8002/ot-authws/v1/authentication/credentials

Wherein you provide a user_name and password as JSON, ex: {"user_name":"Admin","password":"livelink"}.

I'm not so sure, if, in the KUAF table in CS, alone, there will be an identifying property that you can use.

I suggest you play around a little with the OTDS REST API, which can be found on any OTDS instance, if you go to: OTDS_HOST:8002/otdsws/api/index.html

To add to Nizar's excellent reply the KUAF.UserData column is used to make the login based on LDAP/AD. In a manual user

A<1,?,'BravaMarkupColor'='Black','BravaMarkupColorAuto'=true,'ExternalAuthentication'=true>

The Assoc contains an element ExternalAuthentication.For Livelink authentication, it will be null(that element may not exist)
