Programmatically Creating Business Workspace

Stacy Lee-Curbean

Hi Guys,

Has anyone programmatically created  a Business Workspace without the wizard using custom web report tags and web reports or some other method?  I have created a custom web report tag and web report that uses the tag however, it is not creating the children nor adding the categories.

Regards,

Stacey

Hi

I have a WebReport tag that I've used. [LL_REPTAG_'name' CREATESIMPLECWS:'CREATE':'parentid':'templateid' /]

Templateid = classificationid

function Object Execute( \
    List args = {} )
      String        mainTag = Str.String(.fData)
      List          myTag = {'CREATESIMPLECWS', @args}
      Object         prgCtx = .fPrgCtx
    Dynamic        result
    Boolean        ok = TRUE
    Assoc        props
    Dynamic checkName
    String newName

      if (myTag[ 2 ] == "CREATE" && Str.StringToInteger(myTag[ 3 ]) > 0 && Str.StringToInteger(myTag[ 4 ]) > 0)

        props.parent_id = Str.StringToInteger(myTag[ 3 ])
        props.template_id = Str.StringToInteger(myTag[ 4 ])
        props.name = mainTag

        DAPINODE parentNode = DAPI.GetNodeById( prgCtx.dSession().fSession, DAPI.BY_DATAID, props.parent_id )
    checkName = $LLIAPI.NodeUtil.IsNameUnique( props.name, parentNode )

    if ( checkName.ok == FALSE )
      newName = Str.String( Math.Abs( Math.Random( 214748, Math.Random( Date.Tick() ) ) ) )
      props.name = Str.Format( "%1 %2", props.name, newName )
    end

        result = $otsapwksp.Workspace.CreateSimpleEcmWorkspace( prgCtx, props, FALSE )

        if result.ok

            result = result.node.pId

        else
          errorMsg = result.errMsg
          ok = FALSE
        end

     end

     if (ok)
        .fData = result
     else
        ok = FALSE
        // For errors use the following
        return .SetError( 'CREATESIMPLECWS', errorMsg, 1001 )
     end

     return this
end
