Report to find all the documents accessed by certain users between a date in the past and the presen

Hi there,

I've been tasked to create a report to determine all documents accessed by a specific user between a date in the past and the present. Can somebody help me with it?

The configuration is the following:

C.S. Version: 10.5 SP1
Database: Oracle
Enterprise Connect: 10.5.2.1361

I appreciate any help you can provide.

This is easily done within the DAUDITNEW table. It contains the type of action and the User.

For Accessing, there’s editing and viewing. Renaming, deleting, moving.

For just Reading, you would use the following within Oracle:

Select da.eventid, da.auditdate, k.name “Accessor”, da.dataid, da.value2 “Document”, da.value1 “Version”

From dauditnew da

Join kuaf k on da.performerid = k.id

Where k.id = %1 and (da.auditdate between %2 and %4) and da.auditid = 14 and da.subtype = 144

Order by da.eventid

You’d create three(3) prompts: 1 for the UserID(%1) and the other two for the two dates. When in an operation or action towards a document, the UserID is always used, never a Group ID. GroupID is only referenced when a change to the Group is made…which is unlike a document.

The EVENTID is in the Chronological order of when the “action” is recorded, though it may not be in exact Chronological order of the AUDITDATE….but close.

When I execute the report I get the error ORA-00972: Identifier is too long. Any idea how to fix this?

I always test my SQL in a DB tool. If Oracle, then SQL Developer (it’s free). It’ll be more specific. It’ll point to the line and roughly the value with the problem. Take the values in the error reported or just copy the script to SQL Developer or whatever DB tool you’re using and see what it gives back.
