Override elink workflow email templates (web lingo)

Hello Experts,

I am new to custom workflow development in CS 16, I have a custom module built for CS 10 that I need to import into CS 16. One of the customization was the custom email template that was overriden through customizationsrt patch method, since csutomizationsrt is not supported in CS 16, I am looking forward for ways to override the default workflow step email notification html file.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps Hans Stoop may post the correct response but Customizations_RT relied on a framework. I doubt if the actual code has changed my guess is its already in the CS16 Core codebase One thing I would do is to actually look in your particular version of 16 as you can see in my 16 not so new I see the utility already provided by OT. I believe it comes from Template Workspaces or something of that nature. In very new code bases much thought has been given in patching etc so something he may be able to guide you better.

Thanks for the reply Appu, still is there any other way through oscript to override the remplate file!!

I am stuck on this issue noew! I tried orphaning the elink object and overriding the features but the override is not happening!

why is your override not happening ? there could be a later override, a patch, or a post patch action that also updates the function.

Post your 10 Module customization. When there's the time I can look and suggest where you can put the fix

If you go to your module on 10 and hit the Export function in builder in your OTHOME you should see a .dmp file

that is also easy to read and understand. The techniques in OTOVERRIDE and HTMLMap and Customizations_RT is very well

understood by OT Developers as a lot of code is overridden/overregistered that way.From 971->10->10.5 the

$Weblingo.WebScript.RunFileWithArglist had changed as I noted in another post here. I am pretty sure that enough hooks have been provided

by OT developers to make your change. If you statically override a file and you don't see its effect/output chances are the object is not enabled, it did not compile as you think a post-patch caused another file to show up instead of yours. I would put echo statements in your code to see if you see them in thread.out
