Tabbed Perspectives and HTML WebReport bug?

I have a tabbed perspective and in the header slot have HTML WebReport.  When the perspective shows the default (first) tab, all is OK.

But when the user selects another perspective, the tabs turn transparent and overlap with the content in the header slot.  See attached screenshot - this is when I've activated the second tab - you can just see the first tab is transparent and overlaps the header slot and content of the (HTML WebReport) widget and then the blue "undersore" on the selected tab, which looks plain odd now.

This also happens when using some other widgets in the header section of a tabbed perspective, but I don't have a full list of which work and don't.

Is this a bug?

Yes, this should be fixed. The tab buttons overlap with the widget content and the transparency makes them not recognisable. You can classify it as a bug.

The tabbed perspective has not been used outside the xECM product yet. xECM places always the Business Workspace Header widget to the perspective header. This widget leaves a blank space in the bottom left corner and it is dark. It kind of "reserves" the space for the tab links, which are pushed to the space of the header widget. That is why problems, like you encountered, have not been found and fixed yet.

If you place a widget to the header, you would have to prepare the content with some space left intentionally blank in that corner. It is easy in a coded widget. It is difficult in widgets like Wiki Page, but a HTML Tile Report should allow it with a little effort too. You'd have adapt the content and the background, so that you can see and click on the tab links.
