"webreports/widgets/tilereport" failed to load in smartview

Hi All,

We are getting the error "webreports/widgets/tilereport failed to load" in smartview for all the Node Browsing Widgets.This error is not coming continously. when we refresh the landing page the error disappears and it loads all the tiles properly. Please let me know if any one had the same issue and any resolution if you have.

I also see that there is already known issue with the similar description as mentioned below.

Issue LLWR-13416: Node Browsing Widget is not displaying properly in Smart View if placed after another widget that points to a node

This is probably related to licensing. If a Content Server front end is started when the admin server isn't up then the front end will think it's unlicensed. If the instance is unlicensed due to this issue the WebReports widgets won't get registered with the Smart View framework. Restarting the front end/s with this issue should solve the problem.

Did you try what Ian said to get advanced functionalities restricted by license this is how we all run

1) maintain proper license in OTDS and start that
2) start admin services wait until stable
3) start CS Service last

I verified , license is proper and also restarted the service.

Still getting same error.

The only proper verification as far as WR license is concerned that I know how to check is if you write or go to the functions menu in a WR you will see WR specific Node parameters like 'Source'.' Destination','Parameters' etc if the WR license is not fulfilled you will only see the typical Properties, Audit, etc.OT Licensing now as I understand has inbuilt logic to enable specific kinds so if you haven't bought for CI WR or WR WFX those products will not work.

If you can isolate your refresh to a single content server instance and if it still exhibits such performance issues I would contact OT.

PS: We have a customer-facing Livelink which has many advanced WR CI Widgets. I have put a customview for demonstrators to do ?func=admin.reset if a SmartUI page looks like struggling :)

Issue is fixed after restart of Services first Front end and then Back end services.

But it is reoccurring .

You have it almost the other way around so I think it is a fluke. The WR license is held in OTDS

There is a licensed MemCached Process that is part of Admin Services. This is so that commonly needed information can be received from that process instead of going to Disk or DB.

Then the Livelink services each thread of it then retrieves CS license, WR License, OI License, XECM License as well as, etc. For e.g in XECM installations if the License was not read the Menu Item Document Templates won't show. I learned it the hard way when things don't work.

So if you or your administration puts some safeguards and slowing of the associated services in that order and get to a sweet spot. if you start services periodically then your script should include some delays. If this is not acceptable petition OT.
